Baseball Recap: Dekaney Has No Trouble Against Eisenhower

Dekaney barely beat Eisenhower the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Wildcats have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Michael Hayes, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Isaac Fontenot was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Dekaney's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Eisenhower, they dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Dekaney will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
