If Beachside was feeling good fresh off their 77-27 takedown of Stanton last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beachside Barracudas fell 60-53 to the Bartram Trail Bears on Friday. The Barracudas' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Beachside lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Maddox Hunstad, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Moore, who went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points.

Bartram Trail had a senior duo take command as Landon Geren went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points and three steals and David Souza dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Geren has scored at least a third of Bartram Trail's points. Another player making a difference was Bennett Michelsen, who posted nine points.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-2. As for Bartram Trail, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beachside will venture away from home to challenge Tocoi Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Beachside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season. As for Bartram Trail, they will head out to take on Wolfson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
