The Desert Christian Academy Conquerors came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Temecula Prep 71-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Desert Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Augustine Youssef out in front who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Joshua Brown, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Desert Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Temecula Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Desert Christian Academy on the road again on Monday and play against Fairmont Prep at 12:00 p.m. on January 15th. As for Temecula Prep, they will square off against Woodcrest Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
