The Flint Hills Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 49-34 to Onaga. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Flint Hills Christian in their matchups with Onaga: they've now lost three in a row.
Onaga's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmarsyn Fordham, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Bridgett Campbell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Flint Hills Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Onaga, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-5.
Flint Hills Christian will take on Reno County HomeSchool at TBD on Friday. As for Onaga, they will head out on the road to face off against Troy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Troy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Onaga in Kansas (Troy is ranked 118th, while Onaga is ranked 293rd).
