Football Recap: Jnylah Pierre Leads North Rockland's Defense on Monday

North Rockland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the New Rochelle Huguenots. On the bright side, the 13- point effort marked the Raiders' highest-scoring game to date.

North Rockland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut JNylah Pierre.

North Rockland's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for New Rochelle, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

North Rockland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 22-0 victory against Mount Vernon on the 23rd. As for New Rochelle, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Yonkers at 4:30 p.m. on May 1.
