Saturday just wasn't the day for Gaithersburg's offense. They came up short against Clarksburg on Saturday, falling 14-0.
Meanwhile, Northwood had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Watkins Mill on Wednesday as they made off with a 21-10 victory.

With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Madisen Vitalis, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Northwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Gaithersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Northwood, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-9.
Northwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Gaithersburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. It's a different story for Northwood, though, as they've only averaged .232. Will they be able to contain Gaithersburg's hitters?
