Meanwhile, Livingston hadn't done well against Ripon recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.
Mariah Blaine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Livingston's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Avila, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Calaveras' record now sits at 17-7-1. As for Livingston, their record is now 20-8.
