Sand Creek is 0-1 against Pueblo County since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Sand Creek Scorpions will head out on the road to face off against the Pueblo County Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Pueblo County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Sand Creek, who comes in off a win.
Sand Creek can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Woodland Park by a score of 26-18.
Sand Creek can attribute much of their success to Terrence Clay, who threw for 351 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and Elijah Brotherns, who gained 232 total yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Pueblo County came up short against Discovery Canyon on Saturday and fell 38-27.
Despite the defeat, Pueblo County got a solid performance out of Cohen Glenn, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes.
Sand Creek's win on Friday bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Pueblo County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Sand Creek suffered a grim 41-15 defeat to Pueblo County when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Sand Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
