Axton Erlich posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Rye's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 3-13 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Erlich and Rye will stay at home for another game and welcome Crowley County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunderbolts are 7-2 against the Chargers going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
