Harrison Ailshie was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Andrew Myrick looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Keaton Walker and Sam Blackwelder did most of the damage at the plate: Walker went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Blackwelder scored two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, Blackwelder posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Klingler, who scored three runs and stole two bases.
Meanwhile, Central Cabarrus came up short against Carson on Friday and fell 7-3.
Jackson Parsons made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
East Rowan pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Central Cabarrus, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
