Baylor has gone 6-1 against Silverdale Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Raiders will be playing at home against the Seahawks at 6:30 p.m. Baylor will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
If Baylor beats Silverdale Academy with 14 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Red Raiders were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over McCallie on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Henry Allen tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
At the plate, Baylor let Rylan Jessee and Mac Morris run wild. Jessee went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Morris scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three hits gave Jessee a new career-high. Emerson Morris was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
Baylor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCallie only posted a batting average of .259.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Silverdale Academy). Their pitcher stepped up to hand South Pittsburg an 18-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Seahawks haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Caleb Voss was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Melton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Silverdale Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Baylor, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.
Silverdale Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Baylor hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. It's a different story for Silverdale Academy, though, as they've only averaged .258. Will they be able to contain Baylor's hitters?
Baylor took their victory against Silverdale Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Red Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Seahawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
