The Naples Classical Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Island Coast Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Naples Classical is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Naples Classical suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against The Village School of Naples, falling 100-53.
Meanwhile, Island Coast earned a 56-48 win over Oasis on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Island Coast's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while Oasis is ranked 280th).
Island Coast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terrell Hill, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds. Hill hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathias Harmon, who scored eight points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Naples Classical has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Island Coast, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
