Beachside extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Maddox Hunstad. The Barracudas narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Riverside Generals 50-48 for which the team can thank Hunstad, who went 8-for-12 on his way to 21 points and four steals. Beachside is 4-1 when Hunstad posts 15 or more points, but 1-3 otherwise.

Despite the loss, Riverside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Temari Roberts shot 57% from the field en route to 18 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandyn Robertson, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Beachside now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Beachside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-47 win against Horizon on the 19th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-53 loss against Westside on the 18th.
