After a string of three wins, Decorah-North Winneshiek's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 16-9 to the West Delaware Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2023.

Decorah-North Winneshiek's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for West Delaware, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
