The Bullitt East Chargers were the 60-49 winner over the Daviess County Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Bullitt East fell to Daviess County 42-38.
Daviess County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Beehn, who scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Lane, who scored 12 points.
Bullitt East has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Daviess County, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bullitt East on the road again on Tuesday and play against Moore at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Moore will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Bullitt East is ranked 43rd). As for Daviess County, they will head out on the road to face off against Owensboro at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Owensboro will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
