Everything went their way against Kwigillingok as Chief Paul Memorial made off with a 65-45 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Chief Paul Memorial, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the defeat, Kwigillingok had strong showings from Carson John, who scored 18 points, and Caiden Nichols, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Lewis, who scored five points.
Chief Paul Memorial pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22 points. As for Kwigillingok, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chief Paul Memorial will be home for the holidays to greet Lewis Angapak at 10:00 p.m. on Friday. Kwigillingok won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Kongiganak at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th.
