The Nimitz Cougars can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Dekaney, posting a 71-8 win at home. The win was nothing new for Nimitz as they're now sitting on five straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nimitz to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyndall Roberts, who scored eight points along with nine assists and five steals. That's the first time this season that Roberts posted eight or more assists. Kymira Houston was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with two steals.
Nimitz pushed their record up to 21-6 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Dekaney, they are on a 24-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-24.
Nimitz will head out on the road to square off against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. MacArthur will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 859th, while Nimitz is ranked 198th). As for Dekaney, they will be playing at home against Aldine at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Aldine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
