Basketball Recap: Osage Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Osage, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 61-55 win over the Eldon Mustangs on Saturday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Eldon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Delaney Mcghay, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Corin Davis, who had 11 points and six rebounds.

Osage pushed their record up to 5-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Eldon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Osage and Eldon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Osage will take on Boonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 150 places (253 vs. 103). Meanwhile, Eldon (ranked 291st) will meet California (ranked 49th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
