Despite their defeat, Dawson Springs saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Rex Blue, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The game was Blue's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaybird Plunkette, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Livingston Central came up short against Union County last Friday and fell 64-52. Livingston Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dawson Springs' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for Livingston Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
