Vallivue has gone a perfect 4-0 against Columbia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Falcons will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.
On Friday, Vallivue ended up a good deal behind Bishop Kelly and lost 37-21. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Knights are ranked fifth).

Vallivue's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Onix Carson, who rushed for 120 yards and two scores, and Evert Eells, who picked up 84 receiving yards and one touchdown. Carson is becoming a predictor of the Falcons' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia). They strolled past Skyview with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-34. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 28.9 points per game.
Vallivue better keep an eye on Jackson Cheslak. He was instrumental in Columbia's win, rushing for 256 yards and five TDs while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Those five rushing touchdowns gave Cheslak a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Santiago Carbajal, who rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Columbia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 368 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Columbia's defensive line and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Maxton Barnes and Bode Shepard, who each picked up one sack apiece.
The victory made it two in a row for Columbia and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Vallivue, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Vallivue has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 180.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Columbia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 235.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Vallivue against Columbia in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
