On Friday, the Greenwood Rangers's game was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They rang in the new year with a 36-28 victory over Fort Stockton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Greenwood also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Fort Stockton saw an underclassman step up: Kailyn Reeves scored ten points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reeves has scored all season.
Greenwood's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-18. As for Fort Stockton, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
