Eustis waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the South Sumter Raiders with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine runs or more this season.

Carson Roden tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brooklynn Mason, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Brooklyn Powhida was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Eustis pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Sumter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.

Eustis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against Keystone Heights on the 21st. South Sumter has also already played their next match (against Hernando), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
