Make it seven blowout wins for the Ripon Indians this season. They blew past Livingston 66-37 at home. Given Ripon's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Livingston is ranked 978th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ripon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Lefebvre, who scored ten points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Marcus Madoski, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Despite the loss, Livingston saw an underclassman step up: Adrian Aguirre scored 18 points. That was a full 48.6% of Livingston's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ripon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Livingston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripon will square off against Hilmar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hilmar has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Livingston, they will head out on the road to square off against Hughson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hughson is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
