The KIPP Bold City Greyhounds posted their biggest victory since December 30, 2023 on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 59-39 margin over West Nassau. KIPP Bold City didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
KIPP Bold City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Donovan Fils, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Mikell Reddick, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Despite the defeat, West Nassau saw an underclassman step up: Jakari Major scored nine points.
KIPP Bold City's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for West Nassau, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-17.
KIPP Bold City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Beachside at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for West Nassau, they will head out on the road to face off against Fernandina Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fernandina Beach presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Nassau in Florida (Fernandina Beach is ranked 306th, while West Nassau is ranked 743rd).
