After only two runs in their last matchup, Combs made sure to put some runs up on the board against ALA - Gilbert North on Monday. The Coyotes put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 18-1 win. The Coyotes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Kayleigh Snyder made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ellie Snyder, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Jonessa Butler also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Combs hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive games.

Combs has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for ALA - Gilbert North, they dropped their record down to 0-16 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.

Looking ahead, ALA - Gilbert North will square off against Alhambra at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Combs will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles face off against the Lions, they'll take on Combs again at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
