The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets struggled with assists on Friday (the Nation Ford Falcons had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Fort Mill took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nation Ford. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fort Mill of the 68-62 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Fort Mill's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nas Berry, who scored 14 points along with two steals, and AJ Washington who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Darryl Carrington, who scored four points along with two blocks.
Nation Ford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Burnham, who scored 29 points along with six rebounds. Burnham hasn't dropped below 19 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Caden Giles, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Fort Mill's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Nation Ford, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
Fort Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nation Ford also has no future games currently scheduled.
