Smyrna waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Red Lion Christian Academy Lions with a sharp 14-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Smyrna's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Red Lion Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
