Spring is a perfect 10-0 against Dekaney since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lions will head out to face off against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Spring's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last 11 games.
On Tuesday, Spring got the win against MacArthur by a conclusive 15-2. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 12 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Spring let Maleah Grounds and Hailey Jones-Calais run wild. Grounds went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Jones-Calais went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Grounds is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Angelina Rios, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Spring was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in 12 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Dekaney came up short against Eisenhower on Tuesday, falling 16-10.
AaLiyah Benitez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathanly Cardona, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Spring pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.8 runs over those games. As for Dekaney, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Spring hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .520. However, it's not like Dekaney struggles in that department as they've averaged .549. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Spring's way against Dekaney when the teams last played back in March, as Spring made off with a 28-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
