The Sneads Pirates had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Holmes County by a score of 46-35. This was payback for Sneads, who suffered a 70-42 loss the last time these two teams met.
Sneads can attribute much of their success to Nykavian Bradley, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston White, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Sneads' victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Holmes County, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-1.
Sneads will take on Port St. Joe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Port St. Joe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Holmes County, they will head out on the road to face off against Altha at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Altha will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Holmes County is ranked 234th).
