With a playoff game on the line, the Oliver Springs Bobcats rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 34-12 margin over Greenback. The score was close at the half, but Oliver Springs pulled away in the second half with 21 points.
The victory was the third in a row for Oliver Springs, bringing their record for this year to 9-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.67 points. As for Greenback, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Oliver Springs will head out on the road to face off against Coalfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coalfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Greenback does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
