Front Range Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zach Woo, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points and six boards. Those 28 points gave Woo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haedan Morton, who went 7 of 17 en route to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.
Front Range Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Clear Creek posted their biggest win since January 20, 2024 on Saturday. They put the hurt on Gilpin County with a sharp 53-30 victory.
Front Range Christian better keep an eye on Zephyrus Schuessler. He was instrumental in Clear Creek's win, going 6 for 11 to rack up 16 points along with five assists and five steals. Schuessler is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Donovan Miller, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals.
Front Range Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Clear Creek, their record is now 4-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Front Range Christian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Clear Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Front Range Christian couldn't quite finish off Clear Creek in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 33-30. Can Front Range Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
