The Evansville North Huskies suffered their closest  loss yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Vincennes Lincoln by a score of  44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat Evansville North has suffered  against Vincennes Lincoln since November 10, 2015.
 Evansville North's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Brooke Silva, who  scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was  Libby Blythe, who  scored 12 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Evansville North and  nudges their season record down to 13-5. As for Vincennes Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
 Evansville North will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Jasper at 1:30  p.m.  on January 13th. Jasper is coming into the  match hot, having won their last six games. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they will be playing at home against South Knox at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. One thing working in South Knox's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last four games.
