Baseball Recap: Langtree Charter Academy Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Langtree Charter Academy took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Pine Lake Prep, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Pride on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Aiden Gelpke, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three RBI. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Langtree Charter Academy is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Easton Roschke was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Langtree Charter Academy's record now sits at 11-8. As for Pine Lake Prep, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-5.
