The Bradshaw Mountain Bears posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Mohave 54-30. Given Bradshaw Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Mohave is ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mason Hunt was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Hunt is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Ranniker, who scored six points.
Mohave lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Devon Cook, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Loya Pulido, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mohave struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bradshaw Mountain racked up 12 assists.
Bradshaw Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Mohave, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
