The Lely Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 68-44 margin over Immokalee. The result was nothing new for Lely, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Lely was led to victory by Colin Raymond and Nino Joseph. Raymond threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes, while Joseph rushed for 251 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Zarian Pierre, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Immokalee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Trannon Villarreal, who threw for 459 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandron Pierre, who picked up 216 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Lely and nudges their season record down to 5-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Golden Gate (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65% over those games). As for Immokalee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Lely does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Immokalee also has no future games currently scheduled.
