The White County Warriors won the last time they faced the Stone Memorial Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. White County walked away with a 57-50 victory over Stone Memorial. The victory was all the more spectacular given White County's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Stone Memorial is ranked 72nd).
Despite the loss, Stone Memorial still got an impressive performance from Cade Capps, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds. Capps scored a full 54% of Stone Memorial's points, the 16th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lane, who scored nine points.
White County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Stone Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White County will take on Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Stone Memorial, they will be playing at home against Livingston Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
