Croc Thorp was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Bristol: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Kohler, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Badger scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Chalker by a score of 25-23. The Braves just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
Lewis Flowers was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with seven RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Deegan Hunkus was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.
Bristol is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Badger, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Badger's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bristol hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. It's a different story for Badger, though, as they've only averaged .220. Will they be able to contain Bristol's hitters?
Bristol took their victory against Badger when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 16-5 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
