The Nickerson Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pratt. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Nickerson in their matchups with Pratt: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex King, who scored eight points.
Nickerson's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Pratt, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Nickerson will be playing at home against Larned at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Larned is ranked 265th, while Nickerson is ranked 269th). As for Pratt, they will head out on the road to face off against Halstead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
