Marion County's loss came despite strong showings from Sage Davis and Valencia Alridge. Davis scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals, while Alridge scored 9 points along with 6 steals.
Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southland Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion County will take on Hawkinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southland Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest Georgia Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
