Despite the loss, Peabody-Burns saw an underclassman step up: Jameson Miles scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Hurst, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Peabody-Burns has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Centre, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.
Peabody-Burns will challenge Rural Vista [Hope/White City] at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rural Vista [Hope/White City] focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday. As for Centre, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goessel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goessel is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
