Meanwhile, Fairview came into Thursday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Spring Hill a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The game marked the Yellowjackets' most dominant win of the season.
Ashlyn Corbin made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Fairview let Maddie McGowan and Mollie Street run wild. McGowan went 1-for-2 with one home run, while Street went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave Street a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delainee Ladd, who earned three runs and two stolen bases.
Fairview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
East Hickman County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fairview, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
