The Manheim Central Barons waltzed into Friday's match with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They came out on top against Susquehanna Township by a score of 45-34. Given Manheim Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Susquehanna Township is ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Manheim Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zac Hahn, who threw for 362 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Aaron Enterline was another key contributor, picking up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Manheim Central's defensive line and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Owen Eichelberger and Bode Sipel who racked up four sacks between them.
Manheim Central has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Susquehanna Township, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Manheim Central will square off against Twin Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Twin Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 205 points over their last five games. Susquehanna Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
