Aubrey Mayton (2026) and Kelsey Marshall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Mayton (2026) tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Mayton (2026) went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Marshall went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most runs Marshall has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Thomas was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addie McDaniel (2025), who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Kenston Forest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brunswick Academy only managed four hits.
Brunswick Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Kenston Forest, their record now sits at 11-4.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kenston Forest hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .387. However, it's not like Brunswick Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .412. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
