This season hasn't been kind to the Rondout Valley Ganders, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They fell 56-47 to Dover on Wednesday. Rondout Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dover apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Leading Dover to victory were Caden Green and Justin Cardwell. Green scored 15 points, while Cardwell scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cardwell has scored at least 25% of Dover's points. Another player making a difference was Kayden Brinson, who scored eight points.
Rondout Valley bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dover, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Rondout Valley will be playing at home against Our Lady of Lourdes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Our Lady of Lourdes has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 419 points over their last five games. As for Dover, they will head out on the road to face off against Millbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Millbrook focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday.
