Osawatomie is 8-2 against Central Heights since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Both teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Osawatomie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
After a string of three wins, Osawatomie's good fortune finally ran out. They fell just short of Erie by a score of 44-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Osawatomie has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Osawatomie saw an underclassman step up: Jasper Sallee scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Stevenson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Central Heights' three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They snuck past Mission Valley with a 66-60 win. Central Heights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Osawatomie's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Central Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
Osawatomie might still be hurting after the 56-36 defeat they got from Central Heights in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Osawatomie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
