The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lumberton, who defeated 96th ranked Cathedral, 20-19. Jatarrian Clark ran for 161 yards in the win.
Salem was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to sixth in 1A Region 4. The Wildcats beat Mount Olive 47-22 earlier in the week.
Zach Marsh was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Panthers topped the Green Wave. He nabbed 1 interception and forced 1 fumble.
Thomas Garrity threw for 234 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 17-37 with 3 interceptions.
Jederrion Walton was the best wideout in the league this week as Hinds County Agricultural beat Sacred Heart. Walton racked up 4 receptions for 99 yards. Jabrien Garret helped Hinds County Agricultural's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 30 yards.
Cathedral's Garrity and Jardarius Anderson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Garrity has thrown for 2,491 yards this season, while Anderson has 62 catches for 1,081 yards. Stringer's Tevin Moore leads the league in rushing yards with 1,164.
A big matchup in 1A Region 4 this week will be when Lumberton takes on Bogue Chitto. Brian Ford's team is currently in fourth, while the Bobcats are in first.
The Crusaders lost to the Bulldogs 39-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
