It was another big night for Malik Rich, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of University's points. Another player making a difference was Jakari Laing, who scored 13 points along with eight steals.
The victory was the third in a row for University, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Achievement First, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
University will head out on the road to face off against Classical Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Classical Magnet's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Achievement First, they will be playing at home against Bulkeley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bulkeley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
