The Compass Charter Aviators had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 63-54 victory over Idaho City on Wednesday. With that victory, Compass Charter brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Compass Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kellen Walbuck, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Thore Lucas, who scored nine points along with six steals and five rebounds.
The win got Compass Charter back to even at 4-4. As for Idaho City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Compass Charter and North Star will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Idaho City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverstone International at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
