The Muskogee Roughers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dove Science Academy 71-4 on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Muskogee as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Muskogee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaslynn Gandy, who scored 16 points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Gandy scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malaysia Burton, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Muskogee's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Dove Science Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muskogee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Will Rogers College on January 19th. As for Dove Science Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Claremore Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
