The West Broward Bobcats will challenge the Western Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in West Broward's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
West Broward is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Coral Reef with a sharp 11-1 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.
Cheyanne Chaffin spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Alivia Artanis was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Victoria Carmona, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.
West Broward was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Western never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Park Vista. The Wildcats have beaten the Cobras the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cobras has come to flipping the script.
Not much got past Ali Solo, who gave up just four hits to keep Park Vista off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Analie Diaz, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
West Broward has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Western, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5-1.
Everything went West Broward's way against Western in their previous meeting back in April, as West Broward made off with an 11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
